My Xbox 360 has been returned after just 6 days. As I was not in, UPS left it with my neighbour. Included in the returned package was a 1 month Xbox Live Gold membership card, a nice gesture. There was also a large leaflet reminding me to sync my controller up with the Xbox 360 unit (standard procedure for wireless products). After a quick initial setup and loading my original profile from my hard disk which I had not sent back, I was ready to go. I had NOT lost any of my paid for content, profiles or settings. Initially Lost Planet crashed. Now you can imagine my horror - had they really sent back the original unit with no repair? It took some further and lengthy gameplay to restore my confidence. Hopefully it was just a horrible coincidence as I played for a further hour with no-reoccurance of the crash. So for me its a thumbs-up for the Xbox 360 returns experience although I'd rather the unit not have gone wrong in the first place. The initial crash is still worrying me a little, so watch this space for any further developments.
